For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love, But the greatest of these is love. 1 Cor 13:13 |
The book is a precious sharing of a deep and abiding love. My love with Jay was so similar that it was comforting to have my feelings put into words. I have purchased several copies and have shared them with friends. Thanks you for witnessing in this special way. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I had never experienced the grief or loss that Lisa had experienced. It felt uncomfortable to try to reach out to say you were so sorry for the loss because you didn't know how it must have hurt so badly. Words seemed completely inadequate, no matter how sincere. As awkward as it was for me, through encouragement by a co-worker and mutual friend, I purchased Lisa's book. It was a purchase of support and interest in understanding her tragedy better. Once I arrived at home and began reading, I could not put the book down. Each page had to be turned. The story held me captive. I laughed; I cried; I felt uneasy reading about personal intimacies of two people I did not know very well. But, most of all, Lisa and Craig's "love" story gripped me so tightly that before I knew it, I had completed the reading in one sitting. My family was curious as to what had taken hold of me. After I collected myself, I shared the story with my husband. It was very apparent to me that God had developed a beautiful love between Lisa and Craig. A love that was so modeled after His love for us that He desired their story be shared with others to encourage and minister to us. While I still have never experienced the grief or loss as Lisa has, this is one love story that must be read! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have read your book and was very touched by it. Even though our situations were different we did have some of the same feelings. Some of the same scripture's that you quoted were giving to me during my divorce. I had been married for 32 years and it was like a death to me. I had been a Christian for years but had not been as close to God as I should have until my divorce. I don't think I could of made it without him in my life. When you have no where to turn you can turn to God he is always there for you. I know that God has a reason for everything and because of this my faith is much stronger and I have become a much stronger person to. I believe that for what ever reason you read My Love Lives in Heaven you will be inspired by it. Thank you Lisa for sharing Gods love and spreading his word to others. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Your book really touched my heart. I've always been so thankful to God for having me meet 'my Johnny' in the old Amarillo High hall in December 1955. After 50 years I still see him in tight levis with a white tee shirt on. Love is an amazing gift from our Lord. Your book was a reminder to make memories with the ones you love every day. My heart aches for you. Just keep holding on to God's hand, He is ever present. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have never read ANYTHING in which the author bared her heart, mind, soul so fully as Lisa did in the book My Love Lives in Heaven. I read is slowly, going back and back again to let the message of it "soak". I was truly awestricken by Lisa's openness. One can only imagine the emotional and physical energies required in getting those deepest of feelings out and onto the page. Thank you dear, dedicated in-love-with-the-Lord lady! What a LOVE story you are sharing! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
